What is the best real estate CRM?

CRM is a process, not a tool. If the CRM process is broken then no tool will help.

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management, but it’s astonishing just how few real estate businesses have a CRM process.

The volume of lost opportunity sitting in the CRM’s of real estate businesses is sobering to most brokers when we start to dig into the numbers.

Here’s how the process falls-short for most:

  1. A contact goes in, either from a property inquiry on the portals or agency website or the agent/assistant has entered them in manually.
  2. The contact record remains in the CRM with little to zero interaction from the business.
  3. The contact decides to sell their property and either lists with another agency.

Most refer to their CRM as a database; which is is the problem. The language widely used to describe CRM is wrong.

The people in your CRM have taken time out of their day to interact with your business somehow. Calling your CRM a ‘database’ is basically saying to your clients/prospects they are simply a line item in a spreadsheet.

The word database itself is uninspiring and implies the contact has been archived away.

“Go out and build your database” is less inspiring than, “build as many genuine relationships as you can.”

You have many choices when it comes software that can help nurture your contacts until they’re ready to speak with you about buying or selling
